Over the course of my career I’ve been lucky enough to win Le Mans 4 times and stand on the podium 9. At the 12 hours of Sebring, 8 wins and on the podium 12 times, and again lucky to be inducted into their hall of fame. Mostly known for my time racing for both Corvette and Cadillac, I also was a factory driver for Panoz as well as Nissan. With Nissan I was the 1993 IMSA driver of the Year, and with GM I won 4 championships with Corvette and 4 with Cadillac. My teammates over the years have been ex F-1 drivers, and Indy Car drivers, along with some of the best in Sportscars. Early in my career I was an open wheel guy, getting two championships in what is now Star Mazda, as well as a championship in Formula Atlantic. Not a highlight of my career, but I also did the IRL in 1996, finishing third in that championship, despite a miserable time at the Indy 500.

Throughout my early days, I was an instructor at Jim Russell, Skip Barber, as well as the Bob Bondurant School where I later was vice president. Over the years coaching I learned that the top guys…. the guys that win…. often break away from taruffi ( he was the first to put pen to paper to describe the techniques that racing drivers use ), and figure out how to maximize a cars strengths. How to adapt their own driving style.
